Early morning pickup and transfer from your hotel in Puno to the port. Aboard a private boat, you’ll navigate Lake Titicaca—the highest navigable lake in the world (3,812 m.a.s.l.)—to reach the Floating Islands of the Uros. These islands are built from totora reeds by the local community, who have preserved their ancestral traditions for centuries. Here, you’ll interact with the inhabitants, learn about their lifestyle, history, and how they’ve adapted their homes and boats to survive in this unique environment.
After visiting the Uros, you’ll continue by boat to Taquile Island (3,950 m.a.s.l.), renowned for its natural beauty and unique culture. The lake journey is peaceful and scenic, offering majestic views of the waters and surrounding mountains.
Lunch on Taquile Island: Upon arrival, enjoy a guided tour of the island, discovering Inca agricultural terraces, panoramic views, and the island’s renowned textile traditions. Taquile’s residents are famous for their exceptional weaving skills, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Lunch made with local ingredients will be served on the island, accompanied by stunning views of the lake and its surroundings. After lunch, you’ll have free time to explore the island at your own pace, walk its trails, or purchase handmade souvenirs. In the afternoon, return by boat to Puno, enjoying sunset views over the lake before arriving back at the city port.
Morning: Early breakfast and transfer to the train station to board the train connecting Puno (3,820 m.a.s.l.) to Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.). This scenic rail journey offers spectacular views of the Andes, passing through valleys, mountains, and small villages. The approximately 10-hour trip is a visual delight, with the Southern Route considered one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the country.
Afternoon: Arrival in Cusco around 5:30 PM. Transfer to your accommodation, with free time to rest and acclimate to Cusco’s altitude, considered the gateway to the Andean region.

After a buffet lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo (2,792 m.a.s.l.), one of the most remarkable Inca fortresses. Later in the afternoon, head to Chinchero (3,762 m.a.s.l.), a charming village high in the Andes, known for its breathtaking landscapes, colonial church, and ruins of an ancient Inca city. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about Andean traditions and regional customs.
Return to Cusco in the evening and transfer to your accommodation to rest after a day full of history, culture, and stunning scenery.

Board a comfortable train to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m.a.s.l.), the picturesque town at the foot of Machu Picchu. During the journey, enjoy breathtaking views of the Urubamba Valley and the majestic Andes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll be met by our local transfer who will escort you to the bus station. Then, board a bus for a 25-minute ride to the Machu Picchu Citadel. This journey offers panoramic views and showcases the region’s impressive biodiversity.
