Day 1Arrival in Cusco and City Tour

  • Airport reception and transfer to the private apartment.
  • Free morning to acclimate to the altitude and enjoy Cusco’s unique surroundings.
  • 12:45 PM – City Tour on Panoramic Bus
    Begin exploring the city with a panoramic bus tour, visiting iconic sites such as the Plaza de Armas, the impressive Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha), and other culturally significant historical landmarks, including the Cristo Blanco viewpoint, which offers a spectacular view of the city.
  • 06:30 PM – Live Presentation of Traditional Dances and Music
    Experience a live performance of traditional Andean dances and music at the Qosqo Center of Native Art. This center is dedicated to preserving and promoting the ancestral artistic traditions of Peru’s indigenous communities, offering an authentic display of the region’s cultural richness. A must-see opportunity to immerse yourself in Andean art and music.

Day 2Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

  • Breakfast at the apartment.
  • 7:30 AM – Pickup and transfer to the Sacred Valley of the Incas
    Start the tour by visiting the impressive Pisac Archaeological Complex, known for its majestic Inca agricultural terraces used for high-altitude crop production. The site is also famous for its stone structures like the Temple of the Sun and its strategic location above the valley. Pisac is a key archaeological site due to its connection with the Inca astronomical calendar.
  • Visit the Pisac artisan market, where you can admire local textiles and crafts made by regional artists.
  • Buffet lunch in the picturesque town of Urubamba, featuring delicious traditional Cusco cuisine and herbal infusions.
  • Continue to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, renowned for its Temple of the Sun, with its impressive carved stone walls aligned with the sun at specific times of the year, showcasing the Incas’ advanced astronomical knowledge.
  • Inside the fortress, you’ll also find the Ollantaytambo Monolith, a massive stone over 50 tons that is a key part of the structure. It’s believed to have been transported from a distant quarry, and its placement is a remarkable example of Inca engineering. The fortress had both military and religious significance. From the top, enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sacred Valley, adding to the site’s mysticism.
  • The town of Ollantaytambo is also known for its traditional market, especially its artisanal silverwork.
  • Finally, visit Chinchero, known as the “Land of the Rainbow,” famous for its Colonial Temple and well-preserved Inca terraces. The name comes from the frequent rainbows formed in its skies due to unique geographic and climatic conditions.
  • In Chinchero, you’ll have the chance to observe the dyeing and textile-making process, a tradition that has endured for centuries.
  • Return to Cusco in the afternoon.
